To relieve body tension in the office, sports coach José Stimbre, suggests 3 simple exercises to perform at the office in order to stretch hands and wrists. Goal: relax and release tension!
Before starting the exercises, you should position yourself correctly: sit down with your knees at 90 degrees and your feet flat on the floor. Take your back off the backrest and bring your shoulders slightly backwards. Keep your head and back straight.
1EXERCISE NO. 1: STRETCHING YOUR FINGERS
Put your hands in front of you and breathe in...
On exhalation, move your fingers to the left, your wrists are fixed.
Return your hands to the centre and breathe.
Bend your fingers to the right while exhaling and return to the centre while inhaling.
2EXERCISE NO. 2: STRETCHING YOUR WRISTS
Put your hands in front of you.
Intertwine your fingers.
Bring the forearms together.
Slowly rotate from right to left and then from left to right, trying to maintain calm breathing.
3EXERCISE NO. 3: ROLLING YOUR WRISTS
Place your arms in front of you with the palms of the hands facing upwards.
Your little fingers indicate the direction in which you should unwind your wrists.
Turn your hands over again with the palms facing upwards.
Your little fingers are again pointing in which direction you should roll your wrists.
Finish the exercise with your palms facing upwards.
Remember to keep your breathing calm throughout the exercise.
Take care:
Do not stretch injuries, never overexert yourself, breathe slowly during exercise.
