Adjustable sled chair
Made of metal tubing with a ground support base and upper element to which the backrest and seat are attached. Base consists of 2 inverted T elements, connected by a small crosspiece diam. 22x1.2 m; the parts resting on the ground are diam. 40x1.4mm, the uprights are diam. 32x1.2mm. Upper element made of tubular diam. 28x1, 8 mm for seat and backrest support diam. 28x1.4 mm for the sliding part; the crosspiece under the seat is diam. 18x1, 2 mm. The upper part fits into the lower one so that the tubular diam. 28 slides inside the tubular diam. 32; the latter, at the extremity of the joint area, is equipped with a plastic guide with clamping screw through which the desired height can be obtained. The geometry of the metal frame allows the chair to be easily placed on the study bench top without tipping it over, in order to clear spaces and perform cleaning. For this purpose, stops are placed at the support points between the chair and the bench, to avoid damaging the parts in contact. At the base, plastic cap ends are inserted to increase the chair's grip on the ground and reduce noise in case of movement. Cold bending, continuous wire welding, oven painting with epoxy powders, and prior degreasing and phosphating treatment, in thermal tunnel. The seat and backrest, in 7 mm thick beech veneer, natural varnish, are anatomically shaped to allow correct sitting position, and fixed to the metal structure with light alloy expansion rivets. The structure's conformation does not compromise the chair's stability but maintains correct anthropometric values and functionality.
