Auto-darkening welding helmet, which shifts from a clear to dark state when welding activity begins. The light state is DIN 4; the darkness is adjustable from DIN 9 to DIN 13 using the external knob. The response time from light to dark state is 0.04 milliseconds; the return from dark to light state takes 0.03-0.04 seconds. Power is provided by solar cells with 2 integrated lithium batteries for backup power for a longer lifespan. No need for replacement batteries.
